Ocean White Leather Quartz – Matte Finish, Practical Kitchen
This kitchen uses Ocean White Leather quartz. Matte surface, soft white colour, slight texture underhand. Installed by Cheap Quartz in a compact L-shaped layout.
The leather finish does something a polished surface doesn't — it kills the glare. In a kitchen with decent natural light, that makes a real difference. The texture is subtle enough that you'd miss it in a photo, but you'd notice it in person.
Worktop and splashback are the same material throughout. One continuous surface, no visual break between the two. In a smaller kitchen it helps the space feel less patchy.
The sink cut-outs are flush and tight. Appliance openings are accurate. It's not exciting to talk about, but poor fabrication is the thing that dates a kitchen faster than the colour choice.
Quartz is low maintenance by default — no sealing, resistant to staining, easy to wipe down. The matte finish also hides fingerprints and light scratches better than gloss.
Cheap Quartz covers most of the UK. Granite in Preston and Manchester, quartz across Yorkshire, laminate and wood options if you're going a different direction.
Leather-finish quartz doesn't come up as often as polished. Worth considering if you want a surface that looks intentional without trying too hard.
